Precautions for daily use of Satin Poly Pongee

2024-12-12

1. Storage precautions
Keep dry and moisture-proof
Satin Poly Pongee has a certain waterproof performance, but its internal fibers may still absorb moisture. Long-term moisture may cause the fabric to mold or produce odor. Therefore, a dry and ventilated environment should be selected for storage, especially in the rainy season, and desiccant or moisture-proof bags can be placed in the storage area.

Avoid heavy pressure
Satin Poly Pongee has a smooth satin texture. Long-term heavy pressure may cause irreversible creases on the fabric or lose its gloss on the surface. It is recommended to hang it for storage. If it must be stacked, avoid stacking too many layers and use soft lining cloth to separate them.

Prevent insects from eating
Although polyester is not easy to be eaten by insects, in order to keep the fabric hygienic, it is recommended to add insect repellent sheets when storing, especially when stored for a long time, which can effectively prevent external pollution.

2. Washing precautions
Hand washing is recommended
Satin Poly Pongee fabric is delicate, and hand washing is the most ideal way to wash it.

Use cold or warm water: The water temperature should be controlled below 30℃. Too high water temperature may cause deformation of polyester fibers or damage the gloss of the fabric.
Choose neutral detergent: Avoid using strong alkaline or bleaching detergents, as these ingredients may damage the satin gloss and cause the fabric to fade or become brittle.
Rub gently: Avoid rubbing hard when washing. You can press or rub gently to remove stains to prevent fiber stretching and surface wear.
Machine washing conditions
If machine washing is required, the following points should be noted:
Put Satin Poly Pongee in a laundry bag to reduce the damage to the fabric caused by mechanical friction of the washing machine.
Select "gentle mode" or "silk mode" and ensure that the water flow is small.
Avoid washing with rough clothes, such as jeans, zipper clothes, etc., to avoid scratching the satin.
Rinse and spin dry
Rinse thoroughly after washing to ensure that detergent residues are completely removed to avoid damaging the fiber strength or causing the fabric to yellow.

It is recommended to dry naturally and not to spin dry at high temperature.
If you need to use a dryer, please select the low temperature mode and keep the temperature below 60℃.
3. Precautions for ironing and wrinkle removal
Satin Poly Pongee is prone to wrinkles, but it is also relatively fragile, so special attention should be paid when ironing:

Choose low temperature ironing
When using a steam iron, the temperature should be controlled below 110℃ to avoid high temperature direct contact with the fabric.

It is recommended to cover the surface of the fabric with a thin cloth or cotton cloth to prevent the iron from directly crushing the satin texture.
When ironing, the action should be gentle to prevent the fabric from stretching due to excessive force.
Hanging wrinkle removal
For minor wrinkles, you can gradually restore the flatness by hanging and using natural gravity. Hanging clothes in the bathroom to let the hot steam work is also a safe and effective wrinkle removal method.

4. Daily use protection
Prevent scratches or snags
Satin Poly Pongee has a smooth and delicate surface, but it is relatively fragile and can be scratched or snagged by contact with sharp objects (such as jewelry, zippers, buttons, etc.).

When wearing or using, try to avoid contact with rough objects.
For fabrics with decorations or embroidery, special care should be taken to reduce friction.
Avoid strong sunlight exposure
Prolonged exposure to strong light may cause the fabric to fade or the surface fiber to age. During use, try to avoid long-term direct sunlight, and the washed fabric should also be placed in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

Prevent pollution

Avoid contact with stains such as grease, cosmetics, etc. during use. If accidentally stained, it should be cleaned immediately to prevent the stain from staying for a long time and being difficult to remove.
For frequently used items (such as umbrella fabrics), you can wipe the surface with a damp cloth regularly to keep it clean.
V. Precautions for special scenarios
Traveling
Satin Poly Pongee fabric is soft, but it is easy to crease. When traveling, it is recommended to roll it up instead of folding it, and at the same time, a dust bag or soft cloth can be put on the outside for protection.

Long-term durability
Because some Satin Poly Pongee products have a waterproof coating, it is necessary to pay attention to the influence of use time and environment. For example, after long-term use, the waterproof coating of the umbrella fabric may gradually fail, and it can be waterproofed again in time.

Anti-static
Polyester fabrics are susceptible to static electricity, especially in dry seasons. Use anti-static spray or add softener to wash to reduce static electricity.

5. Tips for Extending Service Life
Regular Cleaning and Maintenance
Even if it is not used frequently, it is recommended to clean and ventilate the fabric at regular intervals to keep it in good condition and avoid mold problems during long-term storage.

Use Professional Care Products
During use, you can choose a fabric protector or softener suitable for Satin Poly Pongee to further enhance its softness and durability.
